Pros

.80 cents more than minimum wage

Cons

• No dignity of work as u will take 200 calls daily with people hurling abuses at u nd yelling at u while ur supervisors and leads tell u to be professional. • I used to cry everyday as people would hurl expletives just because u r following a stupid and complicated script. • Ther wud be endless scripts, countless webforms and useless verification procedures • U wud be promised flexibility to self schedule but I promise u’d never make it to ur desired tier because of stupid micro management and stats. • Ur mental health would deteriorate, depression would seep in and u wud feel shattered everyday for working for a phone company and in an inhumane work environment. • The clients won’t ever return phone calls nd u will be made a scape goat because of their inefficiency. • The company wud do nothing to help u nd u wud not even get time to pee as there wud be a timer beeping the moment u take a break. • Ur team leads are unqualified, uneducated, passive aggressive and biased losers who think working as a call centre lead is an achievement and have big fragile egos. They wud favour the sycophants and provide u obnoxious feedback every week until u feel miserable. •The company has a pretentious quality assurance system where ull be judged on minuscule things and ridiculed. • The CEO is as pretentious as the company. • 10 people joined the company alongside me and each one of them left the job within a month or two just because their anxiety levels were getting uncontrollable. • U wud be lying all the time to the callers and the 100s of scripts wud make ur life a living hell. In short I’ve worked for many call centres before as I am just starting out my career fresh outa college but this one is insane and inhuman. This is a plague. Stay away if u wanna do something in life.

Pros

Anywhere works, provides a thorough training to all of their new hires. They do the best that they can to keep their employees motivated. They give the flexibility to make your own schedule, but it depends on your performance. At times you will end up working as early as 5 or 6 am or as late as 9 to 10pm. Depending on the hours you choose not to work. They provide an opportunity to move if you want to try something else in the company. Anywhere do the best that they just to keep their employees. The management will even reach out to you to make sure you are doing just fine.

Cons

The work itself is very stressful. At some point, at the end of your shift, you will question yourself if you deserve to be yelled on. It is an answering service so what you technically do, is answer a phone call in behalf of a company. Usually lawyers, HVAC, medical, etc. There is a script that you can follow, but most of the callers are used of it, and they don' t want to answer and just want to jump over on what they want. It is hard, since you don't have all the information in front of you to help the customer on the other line. It is stressful specially if you are a type of person who really want to help and give out information accordingly. The job itself will make you feel burnt out, but i depends on the person. The scheduling is very strict, or should I say the attendance. No matter what reason is, if you can't make it to work, they will give a demerit point which will go against your performance. Even if your absence is an emergency or technical difficulty you will received a demerit point. On top of that, when you answer a phone call, you have to make sure you gather all the caller's info, while they are on the line. Otherwise you only have 5-15 seconds to wrap up your call, and if you used more of that allotted time that will go against your performance too. Everything is strict, even jumping out just for quick bathroom or just to breath some air, because calls are non-stop that will go against your performance. You have to work straight 2 hours, without taking a deep sigh. Or if you work 3 hours they will give you atleast 10 mins break, which for me is not enough, if you just came out from a very rude caller.
