Pros

They only promote internally, which can be a con since not all the people they promote are necessarily the best if they're backfilling all the people who quit.

Cons

- Pay is not great- anyone who tells you they're making a lot of money there is forgetting its a MINIMUM 50hr work week and that most recruiters in financial services are not on track to hit the pay bump after 6 months - Inconsistent Management- My account managers frequently told me different things which contradicted eachother, signalling poor communication. - High turnover.

Pros

Great people This place loves to hire and promote internal Remote Flexible Challenging Recognition from managers A feedback giving place Benefits Pays for cellphone bills Expenses your lunches sometimes Team outings Awesome work culture Very diverse

Cons

Commission structure is not the greatest. The amount of work you need to do to get to that “financial freedom” is very hard and if you work on requisitions that offer low spread, you’re not getting anywhere. There’s other staffing agencies that offer way better commission structures for the work you do. It’s not worth it. The expectations are unrealistic Contradicting. The only way you make your money is by SPREAD. If your allocated to a req that’s extremely hard to fill, you shouldn’t be reprimanded for impacting other reqs to get your spread increased. But then they tell you as well, if you can’t place an employee at one place, submit them to another. It just doesn’t make sense how they contradict themselves like that. No structure. You’re basically all over the place when you work here. There’s no foundation, no stability, it’s literally all over the place here. If you end up working here, you’ll understand. It’s hard to explain. But there are managers that aren’t trained properly and aren’t cut out to be managers. They just promote them if they show signs of staying for a long time. That’s all it takes The system is broken. They will put you on some type of “memo plan” if you’re a good worker. They will tell you that you’re doing a good job, but do even more than what you’re asked to accomplish. So almost like you’re slaving away to the point of a mental breakdown. A memo plan is a step before PIP. Lack of communication. There’s AM’s that don’t add all the required and proper information on their requisitions. There’s ARMs and AMs that give false information. Many don’t reply to your emails unless it has to do with a submittal. They lack communication here big time Favouritism, political, and lots of beef. Management promotes those that feel will stay longterm and suck up/have a brown nose. It’s very political which is to be expected since it’s a corporate world, and there’s too many issues that occur between people. Lots of gossiping and trash talking about others. It can be toxic at times There are managers who don’t have people skills. They don’t talk to you as if you’re a human being and you’re a dog. It’s disgusting how they come across.

Pros

I have been here for a few years and have been afforded a tremendous amount of growth opportunties - both professionally and personally. Great corporate culture!

Cons

If you're not OK with doing whatever it takes to get the job done (ie thinking outside the box, working semi-late hours, the occasional weekend), then this job isn't right for you. It is a commission job, so you get what you put in.
