Pros

wages and benefits money opens the potential to achieve great things

Cons

Assassin politics. Don't make the mistake to believe in the employee leadership program. Don't ever address conflict directly. Be courteous and choose who provided your 360 if possible. These are your marks to survive the next layoff round. At high level all they care is the stock and rounds of layoffs including super seniors show they don't need to understand their own IP to sell it. Autodesk roll its business over its own employees.

Pros

- Decent salary + company stock bonus + other benefits - Working from home now

Cons

- In my agile team, there are people from US, Europe and Asia, so apparently the company wants me to be awake 24 hours a day. - Leadership doesn't trust developers. Developers don't trust other developers. The atmosphere is extremely toxic. - My team is supposed to follow agile practices, but in fact all goes down to old good waterfall with micromanagement. - Different groups within the company fight for power instead of working on delivering value to product users. As a result of that, my own work has no meaning and no value.

Pros

Great and bright coworkers Great reputation Lots of training options Flexible work conditions Lots of benefits

Cons

Even with all the pros, the cons are terrible. The politics are suffocating. Having worked at even larger places than Autodesk, I'm surprised how bad the politics are. Territorial, conflict averse, and often self-interest kills progress. Decisions take forever. Major layoffs are the norm now. You could be a rockstar employee, but if you get caught in the politics, watch your back. Every team is spread across the globe so expect late calls. Way too many meetings too get simple things done.
