I accepted my offer February of 2023, and we agreed on a set start date in August of the same year. Two weeks before my start date they informed me that I no longer met the job requirements because my grades were too low. I thought that was odd because I had submitted both my technical college (3.7 GPA) and university (3.2 GPA) transcripts in May 2023 and it was marked as viewed by Baker Hughes. In July I received an email asking me for my university transcript again, I forward them the email I had sent from May, and they respond with a thanks. Two weeks later I receive an email saying that they are rescinding my offer. I follow up and call them and they inform me that my college diploma has no value (even though it is clearly listed as a requirement in the job description) and then tell me that they need a letter from my Dean, I get the letter from the Dean and send it to them, the acknowledge that they received the letter and never call me again. In the following days I get a email from my Dean, telling me that they were very rude to him and seemed like they were looking for reasons to reject me. Even he told me to avoid Baker Hughes at all costs.
In summary, HR looked for a reason to pull my offer and I paid the price. They really don't care about you, and are willing to let you go at any minute.
Also the salary might look convincing but please consider hours worked for the fixed salary.
