Pros

World class training! Put in some time with them and you will be well seasoned to leave to a smaller company with a significant pay increase.

Cons

Slow progression within the company. If you have ambition and want to climb the ladder quickly you will need to do this at another company. It's a corporation so you can expect a lot of bureaucracy. Also their yearly "contract reviews" are a joke. A lot of nepotism and no real thought given to encouraging young, energetic, intelligent people to stay with the company.

Pros

- Solid starting salary for someone just coming out of school - Young, fun and energetic coworkers in every office - Offer great in house classes to improve self professionally - CEO John Wiehoff is an incredible leader, selfless, fantastic speaker and a passionate visionary. I had the pleasure of meeting him in my first week at C.H. and was struck by how personable he was with all his employees. - The extensive network of people and experts in their field is amazing, great resources

Cons

- To call the compensation 'pitiful' would be a gross understatement - May just have been my awful manager but bonus and compensation reviews were just ridiculous. No notice for meetings just a quick IM saying 'do you have a second to talk?' and then goes into your review and compensation for the next year telling you how you did good but not good enough and comp is non-negotiable - No matter how much of an improvement or growth of business are you will always ALWAYS be told it's 'good, but not good enough' - Much like every other review, the work/life balance was atrocious. Expected to be on call 24/7/365 - Spread their people very thin, if hired for a specific position expect to be made to do many more roles and take on responsibilities you were not hired for. If you say you cannot do all of them they passive aggressively belittle your work ethic and they will find someone willing to do it all even if they can't either. - HR nightmare, no joke seems to be off limits no matter how crude by management and supervisors included. Also had a manager in Canada who was from US and routinely bashed Canada such as, 'maternity leave is BS', calling Canadian holiday's 'BS' and commonly comparing Canadian welfare, Employment Insurance and Healthcare to communist Russia...he was a real sweetheart. - When several employees politely inquired if C.H. would pay or assist in paying for college/university courses outside of the company we were told by our manager 'Ya right, why the hell would I pay for you to take courses so you can leave the company.' Word for word verbatim. - Favoritism runs rampant company wide. Managers offer to take certain employees to customer visits in places like CA and offer to pay for their spouses as well and for less favorite employees will limit their travel even for necessary training or complain about 'how much of an expense they are'. Even little things such as one employee coming in on time greeted by a 'Hi' or only a head nod just to have a favored employee come in 20-40 minutes late and greeted with open arms 'Heeeeeey! How was your weekend?!'. This happened routinely. - They wait until it is too late to retain talent. A former coworker found a better much higher paying job and when he informed the manager was told 'If you told me you were looking we could've worked something out'. They do not wish to reward their hardworking employees until it is too late.

Pros

Great people, my colleagues are just marvelous and kind and helpful and ready to help out anytime. Stability of employment. Working from home. The salary is on time.

Cons

Management of the company is in the stone age. US management with US corporate values - do not care about the values of the other countries, they breach local legislation a lot in Quebec not knowing about Normes du Travail - lucky no one so far filed a complaint against them, remuneration is peanuts and very difficult to get an increase, minimum vacation time. Annual evaluations are just a humiliation for all who work in the Montreal office. Promotions with a 5% salary increase are nothing if your salary is nothing. No work-life balance. During COVID they requested not to report overtime, when everyone had overtime - they did not pay it. Overal - cheap American corp, which does not care about its employees -do not waste your time.
