You get to work with kids and see the joy of helping them learn a new skill and seeing them create things with that skill.

Cons

I worked at the Barrie franchise location and neither the Barrie management, nor Code Ninjas as a company, have any idea what they're doing. They hire you on the appearance of a fun, part-time job working with kids to teach them coding, while learning the same skills yourself. But in reality, they expect you to assist with the running of the company or franchise, even though you're only getting minimum or just above minimum wage! And if you complain about, they brush you off until they get fed up, at which point they let you go!

I can’t think of anything positive about this experience. It has the potential but it lacks in all aspects.

Cons

The employer is too demanding and we are all underpaid for the work it requires. Everyday, it’s busy and we are clearly understaffed, makes me wonder why the company doesn’t hire more of us. No benefits, nothing.
