Pros

Most people are nice and supportive; there could be a great team dynamic if it’s built up correctly.

Cons

The CEO comes across as rather rude. While there is likely a great deal of pressure on her to hit targets and drive performance, the way she delivers feedback and treats employees often makes the team feel miserable and constantly stressed. Some may describe her management style as “super direct,” but there’s a fine line between being direct and being rude—or even emotionally manipulative. For example, she publicly expressed being "VERY disappointed" in two new hires via a group Slack message during just their second week. In another instance, she told someone with a medical condition, “I am your manager—you need to let me know,” without offering any condolences or words of support to make them feel better. The overall atmosphere is tense and pressure-filled. The stress she passes on to senior leadership trickles down to the broader team, leaving many employees unhappy. To add to the concern, the compensation is relatively low for the level of responsibility. For a director-level role, the salary is only around $140–150K.
