Pros
Great mission, good benefits, flexible PTO, remote work
Cons
Culture is going downhill. External hires are brought on for leadership positions rather than hiring internally. Axon is a nuanced business in our practices, which makes external hires difficult especially when they have no regard or interest in hearing from tenured employees about current pain points. The boots on the ground workers are rarely listened too and if one tries to speak out about a potential issue in practice, its viewed as unwilling to adapt rather than proactive feedback on something that has already been tried before, leading to exhaustion and burn out from the tenured employees. Used to be a company where candor was expected and encouraged, but now it feels safer to just keep your head down. Flattening the org has led to experienced and tenured employees being let go where as new hires hired in at a higher salary are kept
