Pros
Fun socials, office space is nice, people are great
Cons
There is a reason why 10+ people have quit from the Toronto office in the last couple of months. To anyone reading this - look elsewhere as there are far better companies that will give you valuable professional development and will treat their employees with respect. Quality, demand, and value of the product has significantly declined which makes it very hard for advisors to sell especially at such a premium price point. Commission is hard to come by and success on your numbers is heavily dependant on what product you are assigned. There is clear favouritism on who gets assigned what course to sell and management refuses to see that there are demand differences between the products which in turn affects your performance. Little to no professional development here. There are no demos in this job, not much power when it comes to negotiation tactics, 6 month check ins are so vague and casual, etc. Promotions are NOT based on merit, everyone gets promoted at the same time no matter their achievements. Titles mean virtually nothing as when you get promoted there are no added responsibilities leading to a plateau in skill advancement. Upper management often does not communicate with the sales team about internal or product changes. People get fired, courses get cancelled or moved, instructors are let go etc and no one is officially told anything. How does this make any sense? This just builds a feeling of anxiety and management masks it with toxic positivity.
