Pros

Send you out to the states to have training on the subject (2 weeks - could have been 1 week) .... give you an adjustable standing desk/ seating desk. Trevor does care for how you are doing -however, he is also stretched thin with work, we had very minimal goal setting meetings. And definitely dont think you'll move up anywhere in at least 3 years (once everyone quits)

Cons

Favoritism at its best!! when you are new, you will not get any dedicated lanes!! "sorry I can't give you this new customer lane because someone just sent a (fake) quote on this lane that was way cheaper than your (actually) quote..." --- anyway you'll only understand this if youve worked in a brokerage. Basically you are required to enhance your relationships with a carrier base --- but how can you build a relationship when there's no business or loads assigned to individual reps? The whole system is corrupt --- The Burnaby branch gets ZERO volume compared to the Toronto branch --- where even BC carriers are assigned and locked under them because "its just systematic" There's one carrier rep that honestly makes it overwhelming to work at... very disrespectful, daily rude comments, and disrespectful to women behind their backs... would be cut from other companies... but this branch accepts it.

Pros

Good amount of PTO. Use every bit of it to maintain your sanity. Usually opportunities for OT, since they don't keep staffing ratios to keep up with the volume of work that needs to be taken care of.

Cons

Significant lay offs and restructuring keep people on edge thinking they'll get the boot next. The CEO makes millions, while canceling merit pay increases that get dangled over your head by supervisors all year to meet their benchmarks. Most phone calls are cranky customers looking for late trucks or calling back due to rescheduling out.
