Pros

Hourly pay is good for CBI work like trainings, onboarding and meetings with supervisors but those hours are very limited/controlled by management. Pay for mileage and time driving (which can be a lot of time driving) is decent.

Cons

Pay for face to face work with clients is not good. You get paid more for virtual appointments and CBI entices you with a "Hybrid " work schedule but they really dont want you working from home. You ARE NOT PAID for the many hours you must do documentation, admin work, calling/emailing clients and other community providers. This job is not good for work like balance. You dont get benefits unless you consistently take 15 or more clients per week AND you dont get paid if clients cancel last min or no show (which happens often). You are paid by OH@H but the employer is CBI home health but it feels like you have two employers with conflicting expectations. Management expect you to work with clients and in potentially dangerous situations with little to no training, proper on boarding or shadowing. They often expect you to work outside your wheelhouse and work outside scope of practice. If you advocate for clients and enjoy doing so they will not like you. No proper clear feedback from supervisors or management and no 30, 60 or 90 day check ins when in writing when hired they say they would. No proper fitting PPE. They expect you to go inside bed bug ridden and mold infested homes regardless of staff health challenges and/or comfort. They constantly expose you to crisis and potential crisis with clients but then claim "we're not a crisis service so don't call 911 for client when they or their family can do it". If you value your Social Work or any other professional Liscenses- DONT WORK HERE AND RISK YOUR LISCENSE AND MENTAL HEALTH.
