Pros
I am writing this on behalf on my husband, who has Young Onset Dementia and cannot do it himself. Management was very accommodating with my husband’s diagnosis. They allowed him to keep working for as long as possible, Good benefits.
Cons
Part time workers can work up to 40 hours a week, as long as it isn’t 6 weeks in a row. So even if you work 40 hours for 5.5 weeks, you are still considered part-time. After that half week, they can technically go back to 40 hours again. This affects what benefits you are entitled to.
