Pros

Flexible shifts which do not include weekends.

Cons

Training is barely there/all over the place and upper management is awful. Very short staffed with high turnover rate. You are getting paid very little to do work that should be allocated to more staff.

Pros

Getting to build professional connections with a lot of usually pretty cool people that work for the schools. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance

Cons

Absolutely no work life balance (this job is now your 24/hour responsibility) because they severely understaff every single position and provide bottom of the barrel hours for what little staff you do have. Full-Time is considered 30 hours - if you have 3 full time staff members you'll only get 90 hours. Never plan on getting more than that unless you go way over on labor. Don't bother if you have a part time position - you will go months at a time without being scheduled at all. Senior management spends more time policing what their staff is saying about them then actually doing anything to address the complaints causing staff to talk poorly about them to begin with. Compensation is laughable, benefits are expensive and you won't be able to afford to use them anyway with how little you're paid and the scant number of hours you'll be getting.
