Pros
Slightly higher than minimum wage, discount, some flexibility in schedule, get to work with great co-workers, and some opportunities to learn
Cons
Long hours, erratic hours, no work life balance yet they promote it, no advancement, those working in advance jobs were hired externally and worked in store for a month then "promoted" to position to make it look like they only hire from within, those who do get hired from within have to work 3 times as hard for much less to get noticed and get the advancement, HR told trainees to do work on their free time to get it done, always expected to do more work than you are getting paid to do, customers expect Nordstrom service and Zellers prices, no real help from head office, emotionally and physically draining, and not a great place to work, and is not a healthy place mentally
