Pros
They loan you one of their Kaleidescape players and that is pretty much it.
Cons
Everything about this company is a con, included the offer itself. The company will offer you one position, and weeks later you are doing something completely different than what you were hired to do. Management at this company falls into two categories: 1) Yes men and 2) Dinosaurs who micro manage manage by fear. If what you have been doing the last 5 years hasn't worked, and sales have either plateaued or declined, then management should be to blame and not the sales people. Worst culture in the history of companies, this company has no culture what so ever. One’s birthday is not even recognized, new employees are hardly recognized, not even an email to introduce new employees to the rest of the company. There is one event a year, and that is Christmas, and that is at some cheap crappy restaurant to keep costs low, and all they do is talk shop at the dinner. People working here are as dry as a summer in the Arizona desert in mid July. It is a “What have you done for me lately?” mentality from management, there is no appreciation for non revenue contribution to this company, no forward thinking, very short sited management. Technology is archaic, still using HDD to keep manufacturing costs low instead SSD drives that will increase the speed and stability of the players. They charge $8000 for a player and cant even put in a $200 SSD into the player…. Don’t be fooled about their pitch about the company, the average tenure of an employee at Kaleidescape is 6 years, that is because there are approximately 10 people that have been there over 15 years, remove them from the equation, the average tenure is less than 18 months. Regional Sales Managers aside from a few have lasted less than a year, most less than 6 months and one accepted an offer and came to his senses and didn’t even bother to show up cause he knew the company was a cluster F. Stay away at all cost, you do not want to waste your time on a company like this.
