"People First", until it doesn't suit them. - Client Manager NFP Employee Review

Upon hire, I truly bought into the "People First" mantra that NFP continually states. Transitioning careers in the pandemic was comfortable under the leadership and I am a productive and professional employee who works from home. Upon the latest back-to-office communication, we were advised that no one would be given exemption to continue to work from home full time, and that we just need to "buy in" to return to office. I work better from home; less distractions, more comfortable, and I don't have the constant office traffic to contend with (mostly employees). It's generally understood that this is only happening so head office can justify the lease of a brand new building and get bodies in desks. If the company truly was "People First", they should be taking employees needs into consideration. Some of us just prefer to work from home.
