Pros
Its in River North and city commuter friendly
Cons
Commission plan: You dont start off on the right foot, its non existent with the inadequate sales training. Purge is not a true sales role, you are not selling something someone can have at any moment, the customer either has a lot of materials to shred in bulk or doesnt and if your territory does not already have a good Shred It footprint then start digging your own grave. With that said, hitting goal is not hitting 100% of an attainable goal, you have to hit 120% to be able to assure it really being 100%. How does this make sense you ask? Segue operations...
Operations: Your operations will either make you or break you but sure enough you cant escape it. Reps dont get paid out on what they sell, they get paid out on when their operations team completes the job aka billed within the given month. Drivers quit, operations needs to reschedule for the next month, operations accidentally bills your customer wrong, none equates to quota relief. Rain or shine, snow or wind. If mother nature (which plays a part as well because its a service that require us on the road) gets in the way, no quota relief. So it doesnt matter how good of a sales person you are, operations calls the shots.
Management: Inappropriate few makes the majority look bad. You wonder if this division has an HR department with the daily locker room language
Growth: No clear path for upward mobility, you can ask management and no one has a clear transparent path or answer.
Stericycle purchased Shred It with no intentions on growing or evolving the business.
