Horrible management, negligent behavior, and overall toxic work environment. Theyre quick to write you up, dont believe in verbal warnings or just human connection. Will fire you with a quickness with no regard to how itll impact the clients they are serving. Clients who already are dealing with abandonment issues and are high risk. There is barely a work life balance and you are expected to attend and assist with ridiculous ymca activities. The ymca is focused on their image rather than their impact. Focused on the numbers and how good it makes them look, rather than seeing their clients as humans who deserve respect and care. During my interview i was made a lot of promises that were then not upheld. Heads up to future employees- they dont do raises, internships, or career growth. Also benefits are absolute garbage.
