Pros
Lots of locations to transfer if you were moving
Cons
Locations are all pretty much retail outlet/call centres now Most locations are Lloyds captive with only special risks options/hard to place Emphasis on sales at any cost over building client relationship and retention Chronic understaffing Staff with insufficient knowledge or experience; new graduates Training is essentially watching videos Experienced staff expected to train/mentor while already overworked Branches are used as training for new grads who invariably move on for higher salary after a year or so Annual raises, if any, consistently less than the cost of living Continual promises of getting more staff/experienced staff Competition culture instead of co-operative culture Transition to digital and electronic procedures alienates long-term clients Multiple database changes/upgrades which have left many long term files incomplete Call-centre processes remove any personal service goodwill already earned Well-earn reputation for low salaries at retail level, and above Out-of-touch upper management/C-suite It took me this long to consider doing a review as I was hoping that SOMETHING had changed since I left. Nope, nothing has changed.
