Cons
It disheartens me that I have to write a review for a company with no positive outlook at all. I think that companies are founded with mostly good intentions, forged with a passion to fix problems that exist in the world to help elevate the lives of the people they touch. It’s obvious that Wondershare was founded with this vision and goal in mind, but let me assure you, whatever “wonder” was originally at Wondershare has long gone. I could go into extreme depth and worrying detail about widespread bullying, “leaders” who can’t articulate their objectives, or even absolutely disgraceful behavior against staff from upper management; but it won’t make me feel any better about my short tenure and it won’t help fix the problems that exist within the company for those that remain. I am not the first and or will I be the last that sees this company as nothing more than a temporary stain on the Vancouver tech industry. But, as there are some true game changers locally; some companies are at the other end of the spectrum, scraping the bottom of the barrel for basic creative ideas, painfully forced culture and even baseline morals on how they treat employees. Generally, I try to not take too much notice of Glassdoor reviews from disgruntled alumnum from places I’m looking to work - and neither should you. However, one other review on here describes Wondershare as nothing more than a toilet, and even though it’s exceptionally rude and not my style to make such a crude comparison; I am finding it hard to elevate Wondershare much beyond that or make a better comparison myself. You’ve been warned.
