Pros

Free parking with electrical stalls

Cons

Management expects employees to come in really early for their shift but then if you need to leave half hr early for dr. appt you are asked when you're going to make up the time. As well, ivery rarely left my desk but when I did to go to the washroomorgrab a coffee the managers (leadership team) will give you a dirty look and then look at their watch. Very arrogant and rude people running Fountain Tire. My first day on the job my manager asked me how ai felt things were going so I said really well...before I could say anything else my manager looked at an employee who was training me and said she would find out the truth from the person who's training me. This was a huge red flag I missed seeing, which could have saved me a lot of stress over the past few years if I picked up on it the first day on the job.

Pros

Relatively low stress in the office, not too fast paced. Most team members were good to deal with. There's lots of vision in upper management. Strong strategic planning with clear goals and accountability. Compensation can be good, some team members are overpaid while others lag behind.

Cons

Middle management is a nightmare. Managers and Directors alike. Countless bad decisions, little to no accountability, pointless meetings, employees rarely have confidence in their managers. Promoting from within is systemic. There's seemingly no thought given to whether a promotion makes sense versus hiring externally. This leads to lots of people failing up. Employee engagement surveys are done, the results are seemingly quite clear with many employees voicing their concern for the direction of the company and their team but nothing comes of it.

Pros

Discounts at the individual stores

Cons

Mid-level managers are not knowledgable and do not enable there employees. The workload is so incredibly high that when you come across problems needing attention management is telling you that there is no time to look into that and there likely never will be. What should be priorities, are not. Extremely high employe turnover rate. Low level positions are required high level of education and experience, resulting in incredibly bored and unsatisfied employees.
