Pros

- The remaining Loewen family member who works in the head office is really great. He's inclusive and open to ideas / values his employee's feedback. Very intelligent guy and seems like one of the more forward-thinking people in the office - Good pay - Respectful employer - Nice people - Open to feedback - Training opportunities - Travel

Cons

- It is evident that the top level management values profits over employees (while profits ARE important, there's something to be said for valuing employees) - Boring, uninspiring work environment (at least in corporate office) - Company culture / work environment has a long way to go. They are well out of the big city in the province and the environment definitely feels dated / out-of-touch with big city office life, etc. It would be hard for them to compete with companies in Winnipeg - Very little sick time (only 3 days per year when most company's give at least 5 days per year)

Pros

Company does produce the highest quality of windows and doors in its industry. Unparalleled.

Cons

- Company culture practices extreme fiscal conservatism. Great for the owners/investors. Horrible for employees. Extremely cheap, to put it simply. Management believe they are a Godsend to employees if an out of town manager flies in to pay for lunch. They didn't get the memo that this is what ALL modern companies do for their employees that are sacrificing the best hours of their day to slave away for them. - hardly any amenities in the workplace other than coffee sugar and cream. - archaic management mindset that does not belong in the 21st century. - don't terminate employees and say they don't fit your company culture if they take too many absences due to being ill. We're human, we do get ill.

Pros

4 day work week, so every weekend is a long weekend.

Cons

Working in an assembly line, so fast pace work for little pay.
