League is woke and dysfunctional

Pros

For a traditionally patriotic sport, the league feels culturally conflicted and increasingly invisible. It has supported initiatives like a Palestinian hockey team with little transparency, while tolerating questionable internal behavior from leadership. The league is essentially bulletproof and would likely grow regardless, driven by country-based rivalries. You could cut half the organization and it probably wouldn’t impact the product. Even with the Olympics, they still struggle to capitalize. It’s not a particularly fun place to work in or with.

Cons

see above. It's a big name but that's all.

Pros

Cool perks, youthful office and environment

Cons

Stiff, corporate, red tape, no autonomy to make decisions, only good if you're senior and been there 15 years
