Problematic Leadership

Pros

Most of the artists are great to work with I really enjoyed the Comp Supervisor who gave me a chance Cool Projects

Cons

The president of the company is highly problematic. She uses terms such a "family" but is the first to send passive aggressive, bully type emails. She has condoned hiding racism type comments on the company (scroll down to find it). And encouraged current artists to flood the reviews with positive one, to drown out the negative. Instead, of actually addressing the sad issue of someone feeling marginalized and trying to make the company a safer place to work for all.

Pros

Good artists. Mountain of cons.

Cons

1. Too many. 2. Just broken company in many level. 3. System is extremely slow. I have been many studios, this one is the worst of the worst. Good help from IT though, but the structurely something is not working properly. IT cannot handle the fact. 4. Problematic high ups(producers, vfx sups and Ceo lady). Poorly run the company. Mostly scare tactic to artists and blaming everything to artists. 5. Not proper overtime pay structure. 6. Benefits are pathetic. 7. They do provide matching grsp, but you cannot have it untill you work two years. They only match of 2.5% of your salary which is the minimum amount. You will lose the company's contribution if you leave the company in 2 years. 8. They burn artists out with poor schedule. They are always delaying projects. If there is a deadline, you need to finish all the projects on that date or plus minus 2 weeks. Most of the time, the projects streches to few weeks to months. Worst schedule management. 9. Don't come here if you like work/life balance. They don't see as a human being. They want you to work 24/7 without sleep or eating. 10. Go somewhere else unless you need a quick cash. 11. Don't come back here until you see many good reviews. Possibly take another few years.

Racist, sexist and abusive workplace

Pros

Artist are great to work with and willing to help new artists. Projects are cool

Cons

Pay is terrible, management is despicable and when issues are brought up it is combatted with verbally abusive language from upper management. When other reviews on glassdoor spoke about racism, scroll down , instead of addressing from a strong leadership position, it was addressed by saying it hurts the companies bottom line and it lead to employees running to glassdoor with positive reviews. When asked what the company was doing, during the height of BLM, the company only cared about a project that they were working on instead of taking action like other companies did within the industry. The company is run like an outdate business from the 70s, where employee loyalty is expected but when there are issue, artist should just suck it up and be happy with their pay. The company has high turnover from HR to artist and instead of re evaluating the business and how they can improve, the company blames it on the people leaving making ridiculous excusing and saying them leaving is dishonorable.
