Pros

Great people to work with, top of line tools and equipment for staff to use to complete their jobs efficiently. Amazing scenery / wildlife.

Cons

Pay and Housing. With cost of living so high in Whistler, it is very hard to even just "get-by" on WB's wages. Almost all of the staff who aren't on salary (the majority), live in shared rooms in shared houses for at-least 40-60% of there take home WB pay.

Pros

None. Vail is a horrible company to work for

Cons

Horrible management, horrible pay, horrible CEO that makes more by lunch on Jan 1 then you will make all year. Whistler was on the leading edge and Vail went all "back to the future" on us

Toxic workplace culture

Pros

Sadly, there are no pros to working for this organization.

Cons

Vail resorts commits cultural genocide at every resort they acquire. They strip them of their identity under the guise of betterment, and provide nothing but insecurity and mindless careers. Be independent, but do it they way we tell you. Be innovative, but do step outside the lines. They are full of contradictions. They claim to produce great leaders yet have a turnover rate like nothing I’ve ever encountered. People are fired every other day and staff will often make jokes like “don’t do that, you don’t want to get fired.” This is not normal nor a healthy thing for people to joke about within the workplace. I had never once heard it until I worked for Vail.
