Dysfunctional organization with poor management

Pros

The university has some pockets of great teams and enlightened senior management, but these are the exception.

Cons

Poor management driven by self-interest and preservation rather than by delivering high quality education and ancillary services. There are many incompetent middle managers who thrive because they do little and don't expose major dysfunction within the institutions. Students suffer with poor services and often, misinformation that directly impacts their lives. The budget situation is dire - they are facing insolvency in 2017 unless drastic changes are made at the institution.

unionized, good pay, good benefits, students are excellent and serious, freedom and flexibility with courses, administrative staff is mostly good

Cons

Senior administration/ management is ballooning out of control and imposing a top-down dictatorial style that is crumbling collective governance and killing a system that worked well. Creating toxic atmosphere for staff and faculty that is trickling down to students.

Some great professors/trainers and some support staff are helpful

Cons

Very unethical upper management. Doesn't deliver what they promise to staff. Oppressive and bullying culture. They need to know the word Integrity. Charges exorbitant rates to clients as well. If you're planning to work with this company, RUN! You'll be better off somewhere else. Very toxic culture.
