If you’ve ever rode the Millennium train Line between VCC–Clark and Lafarge Lake–Douglas, then you’ve rode the Evergreen Extension. The extension serves more than 70,000 passengers per day. Our team played a key role in the construction of the Evergreen Extension, one of the largest transit projects in recent years in BC by providing extensive geomatics services for the project, including surveys of the track centerline, elevated guideway span, horizontal and vertical control, piles, and crane foundations. With the completion of the Evergreen Extension, British Columbia now has the largest rapid transit network in Canada, and we are honored to have contributed to a project that helps move so many people every day!

Thank you to all our staff who came out yesterday for a break session with some furry canine visitors at our Burnaby office! This was our first puppy break event and hopefully not the last. We had a total of 5 wonderful dogs who shared some love and pets with anyone looking for a break during lunchtime! Special shoutout to: Luna – our sassy corgi on wheels Marlowe – our shy Lab who warmed up quick Luca – our Labra-Doodle who gave out enthusiastic handshakes Mila – our Aussie x Collie mix who did adorable scoots over to say hi Evee – our Golden Retriever for her goofy playfulness As a company, we strive to improve mental health in the workplace by giving our staff the space to play, laugh and relax while meeting their co-workers. Having furry visitors can boost employee morale and satisfaction, and increase productivity.
We’re excited to be part of the City of Burnaby's Green initiatives. The project below included a large deployment of EV chargers (105!), power management to reduce peak power demands as well as a large solar canopy to further offset power consumption. This will generate emissions-free energy, and help the municipal government reach its strategy of eliminating emissions from all city operations by 2040 - an important step towards becoming a carbon-free City for our community. Shout out to our team members Jasdeep Dhillon and Tony Seddon for their hard work on this project. 👏
Congratulations to Jasdeep Dhillon, P.Eng., who is seen here doing his first sign and seal for an Electric Vehicle Charger project at Burnaby City Hall, as part of the City’s Climate Action Plan. Jasdeep has been with Binnie for three years and currently works as a Project Engineer. He initially started working in engineering to make a positive contribution to our built environment and improve our communities. Jasdeep says "I am excited to work on projects that improve our environment and make tangible benefits to society. I would like to thank the current team I am on and in particular our manager, Todd Bowie. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the numerous mentors I have had throughout my career." What a huge accomplishment, we can't wait to see what the future holds for Jasdeep! #team #work #career #engineering #PEng #ProjectEngineer #Binnie #ThePeopleBehindYourInfrastructure #mentors
