Today is National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women, a day to remember each of the 14 young women who lost their lives over 30 years ago at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal, due to a senseless act of violence against women. This day is not just about honouring those who have experienced gender-based violence; it is also a time to take action. We all have a role to play in creating change. Please take the time today to reflect on the meaning of this day, and consider how you can contribute to creating a culture of respect, helping to ensure that tragedies like l'École Polytechnique de Montréal never happen again. #6decembre #December6 #RememberThe14 #16Days
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the emergency and safety personnel who have helped with the massive weather catastrophe that has hit the province of B.C. Many people in B.C. have been displaced and experienced first-hand the damaging impacts of the storm and flooding. The severe weather has hit places where some of our staff live and even the places where we build. The effects are a solemn reminder of why creating resilient infrastructure is important for keeping our communities safe. Our thoughts will continue to be with those impacted along with everyone out there working hard to lend a helping hand.

Our team just completed the Mickey McDougall Lawn Bowling Greens in North Vancouver! The facility is now officially open for play. Viewed by the local clubs as the best in the West, the Mickey McDougall Greens has been attracting positive feedback from members across the Lower Mainland. This project began in 2018 with our staff working with the City of North Vancouver to develop a new synthetic turf specification to allow greater competition in the Lawn Bowling supply and installation market. Working with suppliers in Australia and England, the eventual supplier Green Gauge was selected. While the supply and installation during the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restriction created immense challenges for an overseas supplier, our construction team worked with the local General Contractor – Cedar Crest Lands to source a local installation crew and ensure a world-class installation. In addition to our general contractor, Binnie collaborated with Ocean Marker Sport Surfaces and UK-based architect firm Corscadden Associates. To learn more, visit: https://lnkd.in/gZXBEFH6
