Five years ago, we opened our doors in China. Today, it is home to our largest retail network in the world and a hub for innovation. Here, we’ve introduced first-of-their-kind projects such as our partnership with Shan Shui Conservation Center to launch the Sanjiangyuan National Park Nature Experience and Community Engagement Project, our first corporate social responsibility project of this scale outside of Canada. In celebration of our many notable achievements and this significant milestone, we hosted an immersive #LiveInTheOpen experience, showcasing our brand’s heritage, sustainable achievements, and future in China. Canada Goose’s Chairman and CEO, Dani Reiss addressed attendees at the event: “Many of our milestones in China have been some of the greatest in our brand’s history. Every moment has been a testament to our commitment to bringing the best of Canada to China and in turn, embracing the beauty and richness of Chinese culture.” Join us as we explore the past, present and future of Canada Goose.
We ventured into the land of fire and ice capturing the most breathtaking landscapes. We are thrilled to announce that our Chairman and CEO, Dani Reiss, was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2023 Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards for building Canada Goose into one of the world’s most recognizable brands and leading manufacturers of performance luxury apparel. Friend of Dani and President of the Toronto Raptors, Masai Ujiri, had this to say when presenting the award: “I’ve been at the forefront of witnessing Dani Reiss rise in the pursuit for excellence – his business acumen, energy, passion [and] growth in the business community. [I’ve seen] this brand really grow in this country and become an ambassador for us in fashion…not only in Canada but all over the world.” Our Goose Person, Sarain Fox, attended in a bespoke dress she designed with two of our Marlow Parkas. Check out the iconic look below – styled with our Cypress Puffer Boots and a pair of mittens she used as a handbag. Congratulations to Dani! And thank you, CAFA, for the honour! 📸: George Pimentel #Awards #CanadianArtsAndFashionAwards #CAFA2023
Every Canadian should visit the North. And when I say “north”, I’m not talking cottage country… After a four-year hiatus, I finally got North last week – and that experience never fails to leave an indelible mark. Thanks to our partnership with Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, I had the pleasure and privilege to be part of our first-ever Resource Centre event in Nain, NL, in Nunatsiavut. Marking the 20th community we’ve reached through this program since it began in 2009, we were there to provide Canada Goose fabric, supplies and other materials, to help preserve sewing traditions and skills, and nurture their craft and creative journeys. As part of a community feast, we were also treated to the talents of local throat-singers and musicians, and enjoyed a delicious traditional menu that I am still dreaming about. While in Nain, I was honoured to be invited to speak at Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami’s Annual General Meeting, where we discussed how we can work together to expand the program and provide more access to more communities. A big thank you to Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and the incredible group of volunteers and community for making us feel so welcome. Inuit Nunangat has a special place in my heart – the kindness of everyone we met, the inspiring community traditions, the jaw-dropping landscapes – I’m already planning my next trip. So the only question is…when are you going? Learn more about the Canada Goose Resource Centre Program here: https://lnkd.in/gyKkHHM4
