For our final Brand Spirit Rally, our Bloor team brought the Fashion Fans theme to life with a creative take on teamwork. Everyone came together in five teams to design custom baseball jerseys – using patches, pins, and markers to express their collective style and spirit. The final challenge? Taking their creations to the runway. For Jason Servitillo, Marketing Manager, “this was a full team effort, from idea to execution. We wanted a fast-paced, fun activity where teams could connect and get creative on the spot.” What a great way to wrap up our Rallies, highlighting the power of self-expression and teamwork.
Wellspring’s annual Well Dressed for Spring fashion show celebrated style, storytelling, and community. Thirteen models whose lives have been touched by cancer walked the runway in looks styled by Personal Shoppers from our Bloor store. Watching the models confidently take the runway was incredibly moving. Group Sales Manager Adrian Amado was proud he and his team could be part of this meaningful event supporting the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation. “It was a beautiful reminder of how fashion can empower, uplift and bring meaningful stories to life,” said Rita Barbosa, Personal Shopping Coordinator. “Cancer impacts us all in some way, and it's important we support however we can — even through fashion,” added Sagit Vyner, Personal Shopper.
Not only do these Montreal employees demonstrate unity in the store, but on the soccer field, too. The idea for a Holt Renfrew soccer team came from Executive Chef Arturo Valderrama, who suggested forming a team to join a corporate league. When they entered the league, they were competing against companies whose teams had been playing together for years. Team Holt Renfrew on the other hand, was brand new — most of the players didn’t even know each other yet. Naturally, they lost all their early games. But as the season went on, the players began building strong bonds, their teamwork improved significantly, and by the end of the season, they were winning games against some of the strongest teams in the league! “Just like in the store, it took time to understand each other’s strengths and communication styles,” explained Deborah Dejean, HR Business Partner. “As we got to know one another better, we learned how to work together seamlessly to reach our goals.”
Team members across Holts shared what the International Women's Day 2026 theme “Give to Gain,” means to them. Through warmth, we uplift. Through unity, we rise together. Through passion, we keep pushing forward. And through excellence, we create environments where everyone can thrive. Together, we are fostering a culture rooted in unity and support. Let’s honour the amazing women in our community and the impact they make every day.
During the busiest time of the year, our teams demonstrated genuine collaboration at Holts. Head office and Humberline employees joined us in stores to support selling, help with gift wrapping, greet customers, and pack orders, working together when it was most needed. This teamwork showcased our core values and how we support one another across the organization. A sincere thank you to our store teams for their warm reception, providing guidance, sharing their expertise, and fostering a positive environment for all. Together, this initiative demonstrated what it truly means to be part of Team Holts.
Excellence starts with our people. From logistics and fulfillment to stock management and operations, our teams ensure the entire system functions smoothly behind the scenes. As we kick-off a new year, we’re sharing some gratitude and are proud to recognize our team members who deliver exceptional performance each day. Our Bloor store team recently created some content to help celebrate each other and the important work they do! “I am so proud of the team for their successes this year, and proud of the teamwork and culture at Bloor,” shared Jennine Horvath, Senior Manager, Operations. Thank you to our Bloor team and all our Back of House employees!
The energy and creativity in our stores during this year’s Holiday Roadshow with our leadership team was engaging, and most importantly, lots of fun! From coast to coast, each store showcased their personality and the holiday magic through our talented people! From welcome breakfasts and networking moments to pictionary games, holiday bear styling challenges, and even a human slot machine (yes, it was as fun as it sounds!), every activity sparked laughter, learning, and connection. The events were an opportunity to share insights about the business and recognize our colleagues for living our values. Thank you to the incredible teams who organized, planned, and brought these events to life, and to every employee who showed up with energy, curiosity, and pride. These events were a celebration of what truly sets us apart: our people. Happy Holidays!
An impromptu decision to stop by a job fair started Kyle Kwiatkoski’s career at Holts Vancouver. During his first holiday season as a Womenswear Stock Associate, the team’s energy and enthusiasm inspired him to build his career here. He transitioned into a permanent role after the holidays wrapped up, and the rest is history! “The holidays are busy, but when you’re surrounded by great people who support one another, it’s incredibly rewarding and fun. It made me realize that Holts is a place where hard work and dedication can truly take you far.”
Way to go Team Holts! Colleagues from across our GTA stores, Store Support Centre and Distribution Centre joined WWF-Canada's hashtag ClimbForNature, at the CN Tower / Tour CN in downtown Toronto! Together they helped raise funds for the charity's Regenerate Canada Plan, of which Holts is a very proud partner. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the climb, showcasing our value of passion in support of a great cause. Stay tuned for final fundraising results in the GTA, and remember there’s still opportunity to donate and climb in our other locations.
Congratulations to Holts Vancouver GM Ryan Roguski, who was selected to be part of this year’s IGDS Global High Potential Program. He recently returned from Switzerland where he joined 23 retail delegates from around the world, representing Holts on the global stage! His teams’ assignment was how do you increase in-store conversion in a saturated market. The team will now work together to prepare for their final presentation in South Korea later this year. Their findings are presented to IGDS CEOs during the IGDS General Assembly. More than 300 retail talents from around the world have been part of the program – including a number from Holts – with many going on to roles in the executive ranks. As a retail expert, Ryan exemplifies our mission every day. He leads by example and creates an environment where our employees and customers can empower self-expression and ignite positive change. Congratulations Ryan!
