Holt Renfrew was established in Quebec City in 1837. We are proudly Canadian. From fashion to beauty, Canadian brands continue pushing design, sustainability, and innovation boundaries and we are proud to partner with many of them! Recently, our team showcased these brands across our social channels, and the response was fantastic! Many of our followers were surprised to discover that some of their favourite brands are Canadian—and that’s the magic of storytelling. A big shoutout to Claire Halley, Sharmaine Sayaboc, and Katie Pittini for their commitment to storytelling and brand curation while leading this project. The ribbon is cut. The new space is open and ON 3 is officially launched at our flagship Bloor St. store! The elevated experience ON 3 will be a connection point for style, culture, and community. It’s a destination where you will also see art exhibitions, pop-ups, talks and even live music too. All powered by amazing partnerships with the very best brands. For Andrew Moore, Director of Construction, Holt Renfrew is more than just a workplace—it’s part of his family’s story. His grandfather was the principal architect of the original Bloor Street flagship in the 1970s, and his father led store planning for nearly 20 years, crafting a legacy of celebrated openings across Canada. Now, Andrew brings his own expertise and passion to Holts, blending technical precision with creative vision to shape spaces that are as functional as they are inspiring. His leadership on the ON 3 Project at the Bloor store showcased his ability to transform ideas into reality, leaving a personal and lasting impact on one of Holts’ most iconic locations. As Holts looks to the future, Andrew’s dedication to innovation and collaboration ensures the next generation of projects will continue to set new benchmarks for excellence.
Meet this year’s limited-edition Holiday Bear and the incredible H Project team behind it! Coming together in a special way, the team added a final touch of charm before the bears made their way to stores. At our Distribution Centre, the team dressed each bear in its cozy sweater—a special design in collaboration with The Campaign for Wool in Canada - The Canadian Wool Council and Toronto’s Parkhurst wool mill. This year’s bear is made using 70% Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified faux-fur and 100% recycled stuffing. $5 from each full-priced purchase will be donated to WWF-Canada’s Regenerate Canada plan to recover at-risk species, restore habitat across the country, and fight climate change. In honour of Giving Tuesday, we are doubling donations from December 3 to 9.

There was an energizing breakfast, inspiring town hall, engaging store tours and an Ask Us Anything lively Q&A, as well employee listening sessions. Mostly, our employees connected and also caught an exclusive first look at the Holiday campaign and some new brands coming to Holts for Spring 2025 👀 We’re so proud to have an amazing team, some of whom were recognized with Brand Spirit Values Awards. One day, Sam Bains responded to an ad in a Vancouver newspaper for a housekeeping job at Holt Renfrew – it was his first job. 47 years later, career growth, life-long friendships and many memories he’s retiring after a stellar career as one of our longest tenured employees. Sam is beloved by the Holts Vancouver team. He has adapted to many changes over the years while consistently living our values. The lunchroom is even named the “Sam Bains Hall”. Congratulations Sam on your retirement. You will always be part of our family.
