Pros
New office space with Herman Miller furniture and you might work with a few genuinely nice people. Might be a good place if you're starting out your career. Find a successful mentor you can learn from, and learn all you can while they're there.
Cons
Zero career development plan and path for employees. If you have two to three years of experience already, whatever you think you're leaving, imagine that in a much smaller environment with the same issues or worse. The company's mantra is that they're a small "Start-up" company with none of the culture and mentality that goes behind it. The executive team are from other parts of ATCO with lengthy tenures, or other leaders from other large corporations. Their management styles are exactly what you see in a big organization. For a company with less than 30 people on the floor, everyone lives in their own little Silo. You barely know these other people and you can see them 10 meters away. Volun"told" to act as sales people at various fair's and events around Alberta. A volunteer is someone that does something out of their own free will. Obscurely leaving a veiled threat of losing their job if they don't "volunteer" to public events at whatever skating rink, Christmas fair, spring/summer sale... You should be upfront about that. If you live in Calgary, and you have to go to Cold Lake for a volun-told event, is that how we're supposed to spend our weekends?
