Pros

There is always something to clean?

Cons

- Some employees meddle into management, and are unjustly granted the power to make decisions that their job does not entail. I found it to be a bundle of interpersonal conflicts masked by insincere grins. - Hostess's were penalized for almost everything, and given no opportunity to be validated in their own defence toward any given situation. - Constant threat of being 'written up' by shift leaders that may have caught you with a neutral facial expression for 10 seconds - God forbid you stop smiling. - Hostess's treated like dirt compared to Servers, and end up working harder in 1 hour than Server does in a 5 hour shift. - Managers drink on the job - Unethical in too many ways

Pros

Discount on the food which is expensive without the discount.

Cons

I had to wear heels. I felt like I was a human robot. None of the staff wanted to get to know me and I fell very unappreciated. Management would only point out negative things that I did, never noticing the good things I did like managing tidiness of tables for servers and doing extra help in expo when not asked. I was told to 'smile more' constantly and when I asked to take my heels off because my feet were hurting the manager told me "Okay but if you don't put a smile on your face then you will have to put the heels back on" ... like that would make me want to smile more? I would always smile when I talked to customers but I wouldn't smile when I was being told to 'buss tables' or do washroom checks from a demeaning manager that didn't like me. I was talking to a hostess at the front and the night manager told me "This isn't helping my labor with you guys talking so you'll have to go home." And then he cut me. I was told I would become a server eventually after hostessing at my interview, which is what I initially applied for, but after hostessing for 8 months they wanted me to expo and couldn't give me a time frame of when I would actually be serving, even though I had 2 year of serving experience.

Pros

Speaking from working at the Coal Harbour Flagship, the training you receive from working at a place that big and busy is great. It honestly makes you feel like you can do anything and can get through anything haha.

Cons

Very jealous and gossip thriving girls. If you decide that you want to work there, make sure to not trust the girls there - just go to work, do your job and leave. As soon as they find one little thing they can use against you, they will drop you like a fly.
