Pros
Great colleagues. Convenient location (close to Union station). Not Unionized so gives you opportunities to gain experience in different areas of the department. Supervisors are understanding and simply great to work with.
Cons
Wages are below average. If you're a breakfast server (which you will start off with) you make no money. Employees are always at PAR and not unionized, meaning you will have to pick up the slack when required which can get taxing. Management is constantly experimenting with menus and ideas, even when they have something that works. Lack of inventory (Glasses, Plates, Cutlery). Poor maintenance of equipment (Dishwashers, Banquet tables). Lack of standards. Never hires internally. 5% of your tips get shared. Which isn't really a problem, but the kitchen staff gets very little of it. Despite having an HR (who shuttles between properties), the 'Acting' Director resolves employee conflicts.
