I worked at this company for two months. In that time, I was bullied by management, saw multiple employees bullied, was sexually harassed by an employee who still works there at the time of this writing.
I brought these issues forward to HR and was ambushed by several managers in an impromptu meeting. In said meeting, my character was questioned, my job was threatened and I was given no opportunity to defend myself.
Furthermore, multiple employees spoke up against my treatment and in turn, their jobs were threatened.
I was promptly terminated the following week for performance expectations which is corporate-speak for low sales numbers. This is despite me setting a new personal best for sales that week and and receiving nothing but positive feedback for my sales performance up to that point.
I protested this reasoning to HR, once again to no avail.
There are approximately 10 employees on the sales floor in Surrey, not counting the VP of Sales and the Sales Supervisor, only 2 employees have been there over a year. This includes the team lead, who at the time of writing has been there less than 8 months. The turnover rate at the Surrey office is astronomically high, even for a sales position of this type. This leads to an obvious and unavoidable conclusion. The management style is driving away employees.
The Barrie location in Ontario, does not have this turnover rate, I can only assume due to competent management. If you are in the Barrie location, I can offer an uninformed recommendation at best.
I have worked in every kind of sales environment imaginable, so I can say with absolutely no hesitation that you will not find a worse place to work. That includes commission only door-to-door sales.
I wholeheartedly recommend against working here and advise you ensure anyone you know in sales avoid working here at least until the current management has changed.
This company has won multiple awards for being a good employer, so I can only assume it has done so because outside of the sales office it is a good place to work. I hope that's true, the benefits and workplace activities seemed good.
