Pros
I used to be a sales representative for The Brick. My store was floor open, it means that I had to sell (and to know) everything we had on the floor : furniture, mattresses, electronics and household appliances. This way there was good opportunities to make money from commissions (TVs, appliances, mattresses with their addons were the most profitable). On weekends, there was a sufficient flow of customers to be busy all day : it meant more sales opportunities.
Cons
My store was floor open, it means that I had to sell (and to know) everything we had on the floor : furniture, mattresses, electronics and household appliances. But the downside is that I had no formation, I just had to learn by myself, by looking at the flyers, the website and continually asking other reps for help. So I was basically selling products I didn't know anything about. In addition to this, I had quotas to reach weekly (basically warranties and addons) in order to keep my job. So, I always had to put pressure on customers to achieve good results, but it was difficult for me, since it was against my ethics.
