Congratulations to Lael Williams, our Director of Materials Research and Innovation, for being recognized as one of Canada’s Changemakers by the The Globe and Mail. She joins the ranks of 50 emerging activists, executives, entrepreneurs and academics across Canada who inspire through their single-minded devotion to make the world a better place. Within our walls, Lael was integral to the development of Kind Fleece, our sustainable fleece made of bio-based fibres and recycled wool. And that’s just one of the ways she’s supporting Canada Goose’s goal of using 90% environmentally and socially sustainable fibres and materials by 2025.
Cloudy skies, high winds and endless rain? Every element was called to set when we joined photographer and director Cole Sprouse in the Azores to explore together in our Spring 2023 collection.
This Spring, we’re partnering with acclaimed artist Paola Pivi and Polar Bears International for a limited edition capsule collection. Entering the whimsical world of Paola Pivi’s unique baby polar bear feathered sculptures, the capsule features an array of colourful Spring/Summer prints on elevated Canada Goose essentials. The artworks specifically used to create the capsule collection were originally shown in 2019, when Pivi presented the first exhibition with her feathered baby polar bear sculptures, titled “We are the baby gang” at Perrotin in New York. Together with Canada Goose, Paola Pivi developed a camo print featuring vibrant bears intertwined, which can be seen throughout the collection. The capsule is designed to layer, live in the open with nature and explore urban environments. Each piece is crafted to protect from the elements, while offering the ultimate comfort. With a shared passion for raising awareness of the threats that polar bears and their habitats face, a portion of every sale will be donated to support PBI and their efforts to preserve Polar Bear welfare.
