Exec. leadership is a major issue, especially in marketing. There’s little to no strategic direction and high expectations for results while teams are still trying to build a baseline. Everything needs to be turned into a PowerPoint, which slows down execution and adds unnecessary overhead. There is little empathy or human connection from leadership and employees do not feel valued. High turnover across the team makes it difficult to maintain momentum or execute effectively. The Marketing team has grown but people quickly leave. Rigid 3-day in-office policy with no flexibility. Though majority of the time you are connecting with co-workers that are remote, alone in a meeting room. Benefits are below market and offer limited coverage. Salaries are consistently below industry standard. Employees were asked to write positive reviews to boost ratings, which doesn’t reflect the full experience.

Feedback around strategic direction, leadership empathy, and how employees feel valued is not something we dismiss. We know that high turnover is disruptive, and we recognize that when people leave, it reflects something we need to address. On the in office policy and compensation, these are areas we continue to evaluate as the business evolves. We hear that the current setup doesn't always match the reality of how teams collaborate day-to-day. We want KEV Group to be a place where great people stay and grow.

- Lots of positive changes in Marketing - Have brought in new tools for marketing automation and events to help streamline efforts - Have built out analytics so we finally have the data we need!

Pros

There were some real challenges last year but things seem to be heading in the right direction. We have much more realistic quotas and the compensation plans are solid. A lot of new leaders but they all have K12 experience and seem to have a good grasp on the things to fix.

Cons

health benefits are higher than what I've seen
