Pros

- Talented and hardworking teams across the organization - Product has strong market fit and clear value for customers - Good onboarding experience and initial support when joining - Opportunities to take ownership and contribute meaningfully

Cons

Marketing specifically: - Marketing Executive leadership struggles to connect with the team, which impacts trust, alignment, and overall morale - Lack of accountability at the leadership level, with challenges often deflected rather than addressed directly - Inconsistent communication and shifting narratives, particularly around team performance and reasons for employee turnover - Limited understanding of day-to-day workflows and operational realities, creating friction and incorrect priority lists - Strategy is often unclear or reactive, leading to gaps between planning and execution - Marketing Leader demonstrates strength in managing up, but this is not consistently matched with effective team leadership and support Company (General): - Disconnect between stated culture and day-to-day employee experience - High expectations without the operational support or infrastructure needed to meet them - Frequent shifts in priorities and evolving processes make it difficult to maintain focus - Inconsistent policies (including in-office expectations), leading to perceived inequity - Increasing turnover, with leadership and culture cited as key factors - Below industry standard pay. Benefits are low to average. No extra perks like RRSP contributions until you hit 5 years. No parental leave benefits/top up

Pros

There were some real challenges last year but things seem to be heading in the right direction. We have much more realistic quotas and the compensation plans are solid. A lot of new leaders but they all have K12 experience and seem to have a good grasp on the things to fix.

Cons

health benefits are higher than what I've seen
