Pros

Monday to Friday work hours with stat holidays off. Overtime is not required.

Cons

Phone calls are monitored from the time we sign in until the time we sign out (7 hours). When the phone calls are not all answered, staff have to call them back instead of just clearing the queues. It often feels like a "them" vs "us". Hiring freeze makes it very, very stressful as we always seem to be working short staffed. This company has been in a state of "change" for the past 3 years. The job is mentally exhausting and the stress of being monitored is oppressive. No room for advancement.

Pros

They took all the reasons to work here away such as "EDO's" and working the front-lines (mostly call-center now)

Cons

There are no opportunities, you are stuck in a call center. It is the worst call center I have ever worked at, phone calls are diligently monitored, you are expected to transcribe AND summarize calls at the same time and simultaneously determine both financial and service eligibility - with approximately 3 days of training! And you have a ten minute target! Insane! They "let-go" most of the experienced managers leaving a horrible few that either don't know anything or have no skills whatsoever - you are NOT supported here, and many workers lives have been destroyed by managers that constantly blame you instead of help you. You will spend your lunches and breaks trying to close/send off your files and there are so many other idiosyncrasies that make this job horrifying....well, explains the upcoming strike. And the money is terrible compared to industry standards! There are no pros to this job, whatsoever and you will likely regret every second you are there.

Pros

Benefits, salary (until they lowered it for new hires) is fair. Paid vacation and edos are nice as well.

Cons

Very little opportunity for growth Not trusted to do the job we were hired for Horrible communication between management and staff They will hire a bunch of people and then abruptly fire them without any thought
