Pros

Shift flexibility, you can work 8-5, 9-6 or 10-7. Free parking. 2 hours off on the Friday of a long weekend.

Cons

Extremely oppressive work environment. Do as you are told. Sit at a desk for 9 hours a day. 80% of your time has to be logged. They are going to start recording your phone calls soon. Feedback from employees is not valued, fresh ideas are not valued, you are forced to do things "the Yardi way" which, quite frankly, is antiquated and in serious need of an overhaul. Flat management structure, little or no room for advancement unless you belong to the management "clique". High turnover but management does not seem to care, nothing is being done to improve employee retention rates. This shows how little they value their employees.

Our Technical Account Managers play such an important role working with clients and we appreciate everything you do. While recording of client phone calls has been discussed for certain roles, it is for the benefit of both parties. They would be used as a training tool for our employees to coach and feel more confident about providing clients with outstanding customer service. We encourage you to reach out to the VP in your office to discuss your concerns. All of our executives and managers have an open-door policy at Yardi and we hope that you take the time to reach out. Thank you for leaving a review.

Do not work for them.

Pros

The company goes through a lot of employees, and many of them are intelligent, creative, and funny. I have nothing but great things to say about my co-workers and got along well with everyone I worked with.

Cons

The people making decisions for the company don't understand what the job entails, so it's impossible for them to determine who is actually doing their job. Management can't tell the difference between a productive worker and someone who spends all day watching Internet videos. This is frustrating for anyone who takes pride in their work. Productivity and efficiency are not rewarded or even acknowledged, and there is no incentive to work hard. As long as you're filling a chair, nothing else matters. The employees are awesome, but the management leaves a lot to be desired. The managers maliciously lied to me on a number of occasions. I was repeatedly lied to about my compensation. Worse yet, I was coerced into working hundreds of hours for free that they never intended to pay me for. Yardi is the most unethical and morally bankrupt company I've ever worked for.

Based on recent surveys which show that an overwhelming majority of Yardi employees have favorable views of the company, we have to take issue with your negative comments. We stand by our corporate motto: we take care of our employees and our clients. We pay 100% of healthcare premiums for every employee, we contribute eight figures to our employees' profit-sharing plans, and we donate seven figures annually to nonprofit organizations worldwide. That is not the behavior of an unethical or morally bankrupt company. We understand that each individual's experience may differ from the norm, and we wish you good luck in finding a company that meets your expectations.

Thank you for your 6+ years with Yardi Toronto! We are glad to hear that you enjoy positive work-life balance in your role as a Technical Account Manager. Employee happiness is very important to us, and while others in our industry are implementation strict return to work policies 3+ days per week, our hybrid work model is trust based and encourages employees to join us on-site once a week. While we value your option, we genuinely believe that this flexible approach enables us to WFH the majority of the time, and while on-site, experience organic connection across departments, meet and interact with new employees (promoting mentorship, teamwork, and community) and engage in fun events and in-person trainings. Should you have any additional concerns, we ask that you please give us the opportunity to help by scheduling time with our VP of Human Resources further discuss.
